Welcome to Restoration Counseling, LLC

Faith-based, holistic, and compassionate care by Jessica Pottorff, MA, MS, CADC, LMHC

My Philosophy

At Restoration Counseling, I offer a custom approach for each one of my clients! I start with understanding where you are now and the challenges you are facing. I help you put a plan in place to help you move forward, and I celebrate your successes along the way. I offer an inclusive, safe space with in-person or virtual appointments to suit your schedule. Helping people live better lives is my passion. It might mean learning to set boundaries, working through a loss, or life transition or helping you change a pattern of behavior that is keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you feel better so you can live the life you’ve always dreamed of! Being vulnerable can be scary, but I know the biggest weapon against shame is empathy. If you're seeking freedom from bondage & hope for your future, I would be happy to meet with you where ever you are in your journey.

My services

I love working with teens 16+, individuals, and couples. I am passionate about working through addiction issues and the resulting codependency/boundaries, guilt, and shame. Have you been struggling with a narcissist in your life resulting in self-worth issues? Do you struggle with spiritual issues such as trauma, cult affiliation, or confusion? Have you been betrayed by your partner or has pornography invaded your relationship? I know how complicated these struggles are and I would be honored to walk with you through the pain and confusion and find true healing.

My approach

I am authentic and build rapport quickly with my clients by being personable, compassionate and Christ-centered. I meet each client where they are and I provide a non-judgmental space for you to be authentically who you are. You will quickly see when meeting me that I am a real person with real emotions just like you. I will laugh with you, I may cry with you, but above all I will embrace you for who you are. I am a wife and mom, and have lived experiences that make me relatable. My counseling style is direct but I do like to have fun & use humor to break the ice knowing that sometimes laughter is great medicine. I take a holistic approach to counseling, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based techniques such as CBT, REBT, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems. I meet each person where they are and if allowed I use God and Scripture to empower clients to see their potential and to find their identity and freedom in Christ. If you do not want faith integrated into your therapy sessions I am happy to meet with you and walk with you without that incorporated.
